City Symphony League The Kansas City Symphony is
extremely fortunate to have the support of six volunteer auxiliaries
with a combined membership of over 700 volunteers. With their
unique talent and a strong sense of commitment, they raise more
than $900,000 for our Annual Fund each year. Founded in
1942, the Symphony League hosts the annual Symphony Ball. KCPT Television
19 KCPT is a non-profit corporation
guided by a volunteer board of directors. A 15-person community
advisory board reviews the station's programming goals and services,
and offers guidance to the staff in effectively meeting the specialized
educational and cultural needs of the Kansas City metropolitan
area. KCPT Kids broadcasts more than 60 hours of educational,

individuals and their families with a loving and supportive environment
where they can mourn the death of a loved one in support groups
that are offered at no charge through community donations St. Paul's Episcopal Day School
is a preschool through eighth grade independent elementary and
middle school located in Midtown Kansas City at 40th and Main.
St. Paul's admits students of any race, color and national or
ethnic origin. More than 465 students attend St. Paul's coming
from diverse backgrounds and many neighborhoods in greater Kansas

Jazz Museum Located in the Historic 18th

Diabetes Research Foundation, Kansas City Chapter JDRF was founded in 1970 by some parents of kids with diabetes. Since it began, JDRF has only been about one thing: finding a cure for diabetes. STAR Partnerships in Education The Star In Education works with local schools to encourage the use of the newspaper as a tool for instruction and to promote literacy. Under the program, the Star provides newspapers at a reduced rate to teachers for classroom use. Partnerships In Education, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c) (3) affiliate of the Star that develops sponsor funding to provide teachers with much needed support materials to create a fun and motivational learning environment; and to encourage a lifetime habit of reading. Series The mission of the Harriman-Jewell Series is to bring the best of the performing arts to the Kansas City community.
